At the Make Tennessee Healthy Again Dinner in Chattanooga, surrounded by supporters, farmers, and grassroots advocates, I officially announced that I am running for reelection as your State Representative for District 27.

This special evening brought together Tennesseans who care deeply about medical freedom, food freedom, clean water, parental rights, and limited government — and who understand that health and liberty go hand in hand.

I was honored to be joined by two nationally recognized liberty fighters:

  • Robert Barnes, constitutional attorney and fearless defender of individual rights, who delivered a powerful message on standing firm against government overreach and protecting the Constitution.

  • Amy Miller, with the MAHA Institute, who encouraged grassroots engagement and reminded us that informed, involved citizens are essential to preserving freedom.

Their presence highlighted the heart of this movement — ordinary people standing up to protect extraordinary freedoms.

I’m running again because families still need a voice. Small farmers still need a seat at the table. And Tennesseans deserve leaders who choose principle over politics — every single time.

Why I Ran — and Why I’m Running Again

My journey into public service didn’t begin with ambition. It began with local food. That journey led me to my first legislative session, where I went to work immediately — not to make headlines, but to make a difference. One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is the passage of HB130, which expanded Tennessee’s Cottage Food law. This legislation removed unnecessary red tape and allowed families, farmers, and small food entrepreneurs to make and sell prepared, time and temperature controlled foods that contain dairy and poultry — directly to consumers without inspection or permitting requirements when exchanged person-to-person. That bill reflects my approach to governing: trust people, empower families, and get government out of the way.

Transparency You Can Trust

One thing many constituents tell me they value most is my commitment to transparency.

During session, I publish weekly explanations of my votes so you know exactly how and why decisions are made. Even when we don’t agree on every vote, I believe you deserve honesty, clarity, and respect. My decisions are guided by the promises I made when I first ran — and I take that responsibility seriously and aim to do my best to honor that each day.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we head into the next legislative session, I’ll continue fighting for:

  • Medical freedom and food freedom

  • Property tax reform

  • Parental rights

  • Strengthening election integrity

  • Limited government and local control

Your Support Matters

Strong grassroots support is what keeps representatives independent and accountable to the people they serve. Campaigns are not about flashy ads or political machines — they’re about building the resources needed to ensure your representative can focus on serving, not fundraising.

If you believe in this mission and want to help us start this campaign strong, I invite you to make a contribution today. Any dollar amount makes a real difference when it comes from people who care.

Let’s Keep Going — Together

This movement has always been about people showing up, staying engaged, and standing firm for Tennessee values. I am humbled by the trust you’ve placed in me, grateful for your support, and energized for the work ahead. If you believe in Faith • Family • Freedom — and in Making Tennessee Healthy Again — I would be honored to earn your support once again.

Let’s keep building a healthier, freer, stronger Tennessee — together.

Michele Reneau

State Representative, District 27
